Billy J. Jones, Sr. is the Senior Pastor and Founder of Foundation Christian Center (F.C.C.) which was birthed in July, 2003, and is located in the Hickory Hill area of Memphis, Tennessee.
He is the husband of Kenitra Jones and together they have four children (2 sons and 2 daughters) and 7 grandchildren. Pastor Jones was born in Memphis, Tennessee and he is the second of five children born to Dempsey and Sarah Jones.
When he was three months old his parents decided to move their new family to Los Angeles, California to give them a better chance at life. But after a few short years things did not go as planned and the parents went their seperate ways. The children became a product of a single family household living in the inner-city of Los Angeles.
With their father no longer with the family and his mother working to support the five children, inner-city life became inner-city survival for him. Even to reach the age of 18 years old seemed imposible for an inner-city youth, but God had a destiny for this young man's life.
In 1985 he met his lovely wife Kenitra and at her request she asked him to attend a service with her at Crenshaw Christian Center. As they sat under the word of faith the move of God began to happen in ther lives. In 1994, the Lord instructed Pastor Jones to move his family to Memphis, Tennessee and establish a church to help destroy tradition and to repair, restore and rebuild the Family of God. The Men's Fellowship is designed to equip the men of God to take back their rightful places in the homes.
Pastor Jones attended Memphis Bible Institute and received his Diploma of Theological Studies in May 2002, and was ordained in September 2003. He is a member (since 2003) of The Fellowship of International Word of Faith Ministries (FICWFM) under the leadership of Apostle Frederick K.C. Price. In 2008 he was made Area Leader for the Tennessee 1/Arkansas (TN1) of FICWFM. 2009 brought promotion to Area Director for the TN1 region of FICWFM. He is also a member of United Ministries International (UMI - since 2006) under the leadership of Dr. Sammie Holloway.
Pastor Jones and the Foundation Christian Center family are also heavily involved in the Hickory Hill community to mentor the children of Crump Elementary School. He works up close with the Principal and faculty of Crump as Vice-President of the School-Based Leadership Council and has been a member of the Adopt-A-School Partnership program since 2001.
